We have a host of features and brands coming to the show this March, perfect for any triathlon enthusiast! From the latest outdoor wear, to nutrition, training and advice we have a variety of professionals on hand to help improve your performance or help you take on a new challenge for 2017!

We've put together the top 8 reasons why our show is perfect for helping you with your triathlon training:

1) Take on our Triathlon Challenge and win great prizes!

Put yourself to the ultimate test in our very own Triathlon Challenge! You can take the plunge in our professional hydro plunge pool sponsored by Hot Tub Solutions, followed by a cycle and run on our sports equipment to get a real taste of what a Triathlon is all about. Each day we will be holding a competition to win a selection of great sport prizes for the best time such as a Suunto Spartan Sports Watch! With different categories for men, women and different age groups, there will be plenty of chances to win!

2) Fancy giving our Dry Triathlon Challenge a go?

Looking for a challenge at the show to test your endurance skills? Look no further! We have our very own Dry-Triathlon challenge where you can get the chance to run, cycle and row yourself to victory! Each day we will be holding a competition to win a selection of great sport prizes for the best time! With different categories for men, women and different age groups, there will be plenty of chances to win!

3) Improve your fitness in our Active Zone and Spinning class sessions!

Looking for different ways to improve your fitness for an upcoming challenge?  Our Active Zone will be sponsored by David Lloyd Leisure Club, North Lanarkshire Leisure and Sweat! Union offering a variety of free 15 minute fitness classes throughout the day, which you can book in advance online, or simply turn up on the day and have a go. There will be a number of fitness instructors on hand throughout the show from all three gyms offering classes to help strengthen both the mind and body.

4) Browse the latest upcoming triathlon outdoor wear!

We have a variety of top industry leading brands within triathlon wear to help improve your performance for the upcoming season. With such amazing brands as Dryrobe, Kitbrix, Swans and Lomo attending, there will also be the chance to browse Triathlon bikes and the latest outdoor apparel to get you ready for the great outdoors!

6) Improve your nutrition and training at the show!

There will be a number of great nutritional brands at the show to help improve your training and get you in shape this season! Why not chat to The Great Swim team at the show this March and sign up for a fresh challenge for 2017! Find out more about the largest open water swimming event series in the UK, with over 22,000 competitors and 50,000 spectators, the series aims to challenge, engage and activate swimmers of all levels!

Catriona Morrison will be speaking at this year's theatre! As one of the most successful triathletes in Scottish history, with a lasting impact in the role of triathlon, duathlon and multi-sport in Scotland, make sure you don't miss out! She will be talking all things training, technique and motivation, as well as how to get into triathlon challenges.

We have a range of fitness classes to attend at this year's show giving you a taster of different ways to stay active for 2017!

With the likes of David Lloyd Clubs, NL Leisure and SWEAT Union Glasgow there will a number of classes to choose from throughout the weekend including cardio, strength and conditioning, high impact, low impact, and activities for the mind and body! You can book your classes in advance, giving you a fun weekend of fitness throughout the show!

Top 6 things at the show for a fun family day out!

Looking for a fun day out this March for all the family? Look no further! We have a host of activities taking place for any young budding athlete who wants to try something new or improve their sporting technique! We've put together 6 top reasons why you should come to the show this Spring.

1) Try out our Under 16s Mountain Bike Track sponsored by Scottish Cycling!

We have our very own mountain bike track at this year's show for under 16s to get a real taste of the great outdoors! Frog bikes will be providing a range of specially designed bikes for younger cyclists. Get to grips with different terrain and learn how to mountain bike like a pro!

2) Get stuck in to a range of activities in our Kids Zone!

We have a specially dedicated area for under 16s to have a go and get to grips with a variety of activities from trampolining to cycling, there will be something for everyone to enjoy! So come along and get stuck in to a range of activities this March!

3) Find the daredevil in you and take on our Climbing Wall!

For the thrill seeker in you we have our Climbing Wall sponsored by Visit Arran to give you a sense of climbing in the great outdoors. You can choose to either start with the very basics or try a more challenging climb! Whichever you decide you will be supported by one of our experienced instructors who will provide advice, support, and encouragement.

4) Find your balance in our Go Ape Low Ropes Course!

We are excited to announce that Go Ape will be attending this year's show bringing their amazing Low Ropes Course for any young explorer to try! See what Go Ape is all about by tackling low rope obstacles! Chat to the Go Ape team about booking your tree top adventure for all the family to enjoy.

5) Get to grips with our Segway Challenge!

We have a fun filled Segway course, sponsored by Scotland’s cable wakeboarding park Foxlake and East Lothian Council, where you can test your skills and balance to the maximum! The Segway course is for everyone aged 7 and above, a great family activity and something that all generations can enjoy together.

6) Learn new techniques on our Running Track!

We have an amazing indoor running track, perfect for any young, budding athlete to practice their sprinting technique! They can try out our professional starting blocks, with the Shettleston Harriers on hand to give useful tips on bettering their performance. There will also be a Q & A with marathon runner Eilish Mccolgan, who will be providing insider knowledge for any young athlete who wants to get into running.

We are excited to announce that Douglas Shaw from Edinburgh Bike Fitting will be speaking at the theatre for 2017!

Douglas will be bringing along the Müve SL Dynamic Fit Bike, which could revolutionise the way you determine which bike is right for you! Find out the ideal bike size and setup, prior to a new bike purchase! The bike can create road, mountain, TT and tri positions, covering whatever cycling challenge you have ahead! Make sure to catch Douglas at the show this March and find out about different services that Edinburgh Bike Fitting has to offer to better your cycling performance!

Glasgow City Council will be offering free Doctor Bike clinics!

Tuesday 28 February, 6:00pm

We are excited to announce that Glasgow City Council will be offering free Bike Doctor clinics at the show with free check-ups and basic repairs to your cycle!

The Doctor Bike sessions will be made up of a team of experienced bike mechanics from Soul Riders, checking everything on your bike from wheels and gears, to brakes and lights! Get any minor adjustments or basic repairs made there and then at the show. If they can't fix it immediately, they will let you know exactly what needs doing and a rough cost.  The Bike Doctor clinics will be taking place from 10am until 5pm every day at the show!

Here are some useful tips to help keep your bike in good working order:

• Make sure the size is correct for comfort and safety

• Keep both tyres inflated properly and have good tread

• Ensure the chain is oiled and properly adjusted

• Check your brakes work and the brake pads aren't worn

• Double check reflectors and lights are fitted and working

Calling all runners, we have a ton of amazing opportunities waiting for you at this year's show! We've put together the 6 top reasons why you should attend the show this March, helping you improve your performance for the coming season!

Come along and try our new mystery marathon challenge and enter to win a slot at this year's New York Marathon. It’s very simple; all you have to do is run a mile on one of our treadmills on our marathon challenge feature and match the mystery time that we have selected! Get your running shoes at the ready, you never know you could be hitting the States this summer!

2) Listen to a host of professional running athletes at our theatre!

We have a whole host of amazing athletes speaking at this year's show! From marathon runners Callum Hawkins, Derek Hawkins and Eilish McColgan to ultra-marathon runner Elspeth Luke and Chai Running instructor Nick Constantine! They will be speaking about running technique, training, motivation and breaking into the sport.

3) Give our amazing running track a go!

Looking for a fresh challenge for 2017? Why not give our indoor running track a go and put your sprinting techniques to the test, where you will have the opportunity to use professional starting blocks at the show! The Shettleston Harriers will be on hand to show you how to use them, and better your running technique. There will be serious bio-metric testing available from Hampden Sports Clinic giving you a great look at your overall health and well being. You can also take part in races throughout the day!

4) Improve your fitness in our Active Zone!

Try our Active Zone sponsored by David Lloyd Leisure Club, North Lanarkshire Leisure and Sweat! Union offering a variety of free 15 minute fitness classes throughout the day, which you can book in advance online, or simply turn up on the day and have a go. There is a running schedule of different instructors and classes on offer throughout the day, so you can choose an exercise schedule that works for you. Let's make 2017 your most active year yet!

Fancy a challenge for 2017? We have our very own climbing wall at the show sponsored by VisitArran to give you a sense of climbing in the great outdoors!

There is something to suit both beginners and more proficient climbers. So make sure to give it a try at the show, and find the adventurer in you!

You can choose to either start with the very basics or try a more challenging climb of up to 9 meters! Whichever you decide you will be supported by one of our experienced instructors who will provide advice, support, and encouragement. Anyone can have fun climbing even people who are afraid of heights!

There is something to suit both beginners and more proficient climbers. So make sure to give it a try at the show, and challenge yourself for 2017!

1) Try a range of different cycling techniques from e-mountain biking, to velodrome racing to road cycling! And what's more you can try out some of the biggest bike brands in the industry absolutely free! With experts on hand to help you learn new cycling techniques, push yourself beyond your comfort zone and embrace new sports, or simply brush up on your current cycling technique.

2) Listen to top cycling athletes in our sports theatre, sponsored by Cycling Weekly, and find out the latest news in the world of cycling from top professionals within the industry such as Graham Obree, Charline Joiner, Liam Moynihan, Lachlan Blair, Markus Stitz and Edinburgh Bike Fitting to name but a few! Each speaker will give you great insight into breaking into the sport, bettering your technique, whilst finding out their personal journey.

3) Browse some of the biggest cycling brands with the likes of Canyon, Merida, Pinarello, Alpine Bikes, Bianchi , Santa Cruz and Trek coming to the show! 5) Watch a real life cycling World record being broken! Ultra Marathon Cyclist Katie Ford will be aiming to break the Guinness World Book of Records greatest simulated distance on a static cycle in 12 hours on Friday 10th March, starting at 4am and finishing at 4pm!
